It's almost farmers market and pick-your-own time in North Georgia!
We love supporting our local farmers and buying locally-grown produce and goods. Plus, it's fun for the whole family to visit a pick-your-own (PYO) farm or a farmers market in North Georgia.
Here are four things to note before heading out to farmers markets or PYO farms in North Georgia:
- Pick-your-own farms can sometimes change hours on short notice dependent on weather, produce availability, and other factors. It's best to call ahead to make sure pick-your-own is available that day. Prices can also change from day to day.
- Bring your own containers or bags to avoid any extra charges!
- Bring cash as some farmer market stands and pick-your-own farms don't take credit cards.
- Some farmer markets and pick-your-own farms in our area might have rules or requests in place due to COVID. Please check their websites or social media sites before heading out!

Farmers markets in our area are typically open for the summer season. Here are some local Farmers Markets:
Jasper Farmer's Market
When: Open every Saturday from 7:-30-12 thru Oct. 31, and Wednesday from 11-2. Last Wednesday market is Aug. 26th and this year they have extended the season!! They will be open Nov. 7th thru Dec. 12th from 9-1, same location.

North Georgia Farmer's Market
When: Saturday 9-2 - Year-round - rain or shine!
What: Weekly farmers market offering locally grown fresh produce, fruit, food, and handmade art and crafts from the farmers and artists of the north georgia mountain area.

Union County Farmer's Market
When: June 5 – October 30, 2021
Saturdays 7:00am – 1:00pm

Dahlonega Farmer's Market
When: The annual market begins the 1st Saturday in May and continues weekly through August. Fall markets are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday every month in September & October.
What: Local artisans, veggies and food items

Amicalola Regional Farmer's Market
When: Begins April 17th: Saturdays will be 8:00am until noon. Wednesdays and Fridays will be 2:30pm -7:00pm.
What: Fresh seafood and locally raised pork and beef. Fresh vegetables in April, if the weather cooperates, will include lettuce, kale, radishes and snow peas! More items will be available as the growing season progresses. Also fresh eggs, baked goods and local honey and crafts.
