The classic tale of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol epitomizes the Christmas season and spirit. Most likely images of a withered Ebenezer Scrooge and cheerful Tiny Tim come to your mind when you think of the tale. This version, though, has a twist. Much like what Charles Dickens himself did in the 1800s, Anthony Rodriguez performs a mesmerizing solo performance of the holiday classic. Mr. Rodriguez focuses on the classic art of storytelling and brings Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley and the remarkable ghosts to life.
Make arrangements now as this one-man show is only playing through December 23 at the Aurora Theatre. The Aurora Theatre has an intimate 80-seat Gwinnett Federal Credit Union Studio, which is used for this production. The end result is a cozy and intimate setting, where you might imagine Charles Dickens, himself, has invited you to his parlor. There is a chill in the air as you can look out the windows and gaze as snow falls peacefully in the night sky. The fireplace has a warm glow and you might even experience a bit of snow and glitter in-doors. Be prepared to interact with the performer in this intimate setting and experience a Christmas Carol in the true storyteller tradition.
