Charlotte's Web brings back memories of Wilbur the Pig, Templeton the Rat, the geese and sheep, and of course, your favorite spider- Charlotte. The classic tale of Charlotte's Web will spin into the Center for Puppetry Arts from September 19th-October 22nd. We love the Center for Puppetry Arts and each show is truly unique. One of our favorites each year is Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, but this rendition of Charlotte's Web is now one of our absolute favorites. A combination of Czech Black and Rod Puppets are used to bring this classic to life. Before this show I did not know that terminology, but after each performance the puppeteers share techniques with the audience so you and your little ones will learn how they bring their magic to the stage. You will love the glow-in-the-dark Charlotte on her web as she spins up some "terrific", "humble", and "some pig" responses to keep her little pig friend from slaughter.
My daughters loved this performance and enjoyed one of their favorite parts - the Create-A-Puppet Workshop. We made and decorated our own Gabby Goose Rod Puppets. Your child can get creative and decorate any way they would like - we ended up with a ballet and swimsuit goose! If you are looking for an artistic, educational, entertaining, and creative day out with your family- the Center for Puppetry Arts will provide all of those!
